Answer to: “What do I do with the 5498 IRA form that I just received in the mail?”
The 5498 form is for INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. This form shows the December 31st, previous year end balance, of your IRA account. This copy is for your records only and there is nothing more you need to do. You may file it away.
What about my 2025 RMD (Required Minimum Distribution) from my IRA?
Are you age 73 (or older) or will you be turning 73 this year?
If YES, you will need to be sure you take your IRA RMD before December 31st, 2025. (If you are just turning 73 this year, you will have up to April 1st, 2026, to take your 1st RMD for 2025.)
How do I sign up to see my accounts online?
